The goal of Tactic Racing was and is a lofty one. To create the best race-grade hubsets on the planet. Living by our mantra, The Best or Nothing, V2 hubs continue that mission. Proven in every Grand Tour in 2025 and relentlessly raced, V2 hubs introduce a host of practical and performance upgrades to our popular V1. Notably, the new Helical Drive System (HDS) replaces straight splines for helical ones, improving engagement time between the ratchet and freehub body. As the ratchet ring moves axially outward, it also rotates, meshing the engagement teeth with those on the face of the freehub body.

An all new X-seal is moved from the freehub body (V1) to the hubshell, creating a no-contact seal for better protection against debris and moisture, extending service internals, while still eliminating freewheel drag. Additionally, a new and improved ratchet spring and freehub spacer further increase durability.

Tooth count between the ratchet ring and freehub body is increased, from 45T (V1) to 60T. Bearing preload is easily dialed using a preload collar with titanium lockscrew, reducing freespeed losses while maintaining lateral stiffness, independent of through axle torque. Hubshells, freehub bodies, and ratchets are machined from billet 70-series aluminum in Germany with final assembly in the EU and USA. TR01 V2 hubs are straight pull and equipped with hybrid, ABEC7, ceramic bearings.
